Hydra is the island of dreamers. Bathed with beautiful natural light, combining the glittering crescent of harbour and fanning up the hill, salt-white houses that rise like tiered seating to the gods against a backdrop of empty hills and mountains. It’s a magic trick and certainly one of our favourite destinations for a wedding in Greece. Having already visited Hydra for destination weddings several times, we know exactly how it is. The pink-veined marble of the flagstones at the port and the donkeys waiting in the shade, the awnings and flags make this island one of our beloved places. Our groom Yuan and our bride Irina, inspired by this magic scenery travelled from US for their wedding. Their micro-wedding was as simple and intimate as they are. Meeting them on their pre-wedding photo shooting made us better understand how their simplicity perfectly matched with this place. Their intimate and romantic ceremony and reception being held at The Sunset Restaurant and perfectly curated by White Events & Weddings was a total dream to document.
