Syros is the island where Greek tradition and western influence come to a harmonious marriage. Having visited all Greek islands so far, Syros is definitely one of the most special wedding destinations as its splendors are not concealed. Behind every corner of the colourful city of Hermoupolis, crowned as the capital of Cyclades, another mysterious surprise is hiding with flowery balconies, colourful doors and hidden stairways. The desire of our groom Carlos and our bride Mikela was to show their guests a different side to Greece and the island of Syros was just the place. Our young and beautiful couple got prepared surrounded by their beloved friends and families, at the Boutique Hotel Ploes enjoying at the same time the most astonishing view of the island, the district of Vaporia. The most grandiose neoclassical building of Syros, The Town Hall of Hermoupolis with its wide Tuscan staircase is not only the landmark of Syros but the most elegant destination. Chosen by our couple for their wedding, the Town Hall was the perfect place for them to exchange their vows. The reception being held at Asteria Beach and perfectly curated by Christy Lagiou was the perfect scenery to document. The colours of the sunset and gorgeous waters of the beach were the most idyllic backdrop creating touching moments. Every photo of this destination wedding is a postcard full of strong emotions, creating lasting memories of nostalgia.
